Remove the trunk liner on the inside of the trunk lid. To do this, remove all of the plastic compression screws holding the liner to the lid. (The trick is to hold the outer part while unscrewing the center to break it loose, then use the panel tool to pop it out)
To remove the Taillight panel, use an extended 10mm socket to remove the 4 nuts inside the trunk lid. One is in a hole (extended socket needed) and the other is parallel above it.
DO NOT remove the 2 nuts beside the lock.
Once the 4 bolts are removed, the light panel should pop out with a bit of force.
Needs Editing
I havn't actually successfully removed it yet. I was taking the last 10mm bolt off and it felt like the beebing screw broke in the taillight panel housing (the nut just keeps spinning instead of breaking loose). Very Frustrating because even with the 3 10mm nuts removed, it doesnt feel like it wants to come off. Im going to get out the rotary tool and see if I can cut the stupid thing off (but probably wont be able to get under the nut to cut it) arghhhhhhhhhhhhh lol
Am I missing anything?

Sorry buddy lol
I think I found out why the panel is still tight. I found 2 white plastic pop in screws which might be holding the panel to the trunk.
They are located where the 2 red arrows are. The blue arrow is pointing to the bolt that broke on me. Im going to see if I can cut it tomorrow when I have more light.

A better pic of the little white clip which I suspect is holding the panel. I am trying to think of a way to remove this without breaking it lol
