Has anyone in here ever installed aftermarket headlights on their AE101? I need some guidance on getting a pair of plastic brackets to install mine.

Are you talking about the 1-piece halo/led/projector lights? Those are the only ones I know that need a pair pf brackets to install. Mine came with them, but I already shipped them out to someone over there because theirs didn't come with them either.

Yep that would be me Mine came idd without the brackets and I tell you... they don't fit without em! Way too lose...
However needed to change the wiring a bit too, somehow my H4 connector gives approx. 5V through the Hi-beam wire, meaning my Hi bulb shines a bit when using Low-beam. ;(
Yes I can find a workaround, however I need time (and money) to rewire it all with relays and diodes...

Hi There,
Ive got the BZ-G/Touring headlights on my corolla and was wondering if anyone had had any luck finding the indicator lamps for them, also any guidance on wiring up the changed park lights and indicators would be muchly appreciated.

My original ones were, my new indicators are seperate and the park lights are now in the headlight itself. The plug ive got at the moment is a three pin triangle plug, as I understand it I need to split that off into two, two pin plugs? I understand these are the same as the indicators/park lights on the AE111 corollas and trueno/levins?
I am also unsure where to find the bulb for the indicator lamp is it is no longer a T10 base wedge bulb.

The parking light and the turn signal have two pin plugs, the headlight is a three pin plug.
Can you post a pic of your wiring?

At present I havent changed any wiring, so I just have the NZDM standard 3pin plug for the park lights/indicators. The headlight was a straight plug in job as the BZ-G/Touring headlights are still an H4 lamp. Although I understand that the park light and indicator wiring is the same as the AE101 facelift BZ-G wagons and the AE111 corolla sedans and Trueno/Levins, is that correct?

Thnks heaps for that, any idea where you can get the big lamps from in NZ?
I dont mind doing the wiring myself (im reasonably proficient with a soldering iron and heatshrink etc) Its really just a question of finding the plugs that will fit.

Well its all done, and I'm glad to have my car back to a warrantable state haha. I got the loom bits off an AE111 Levin, and thank God its Toyota, all I had to do was play match the colours Much easier than I had originally anticipated.
