PostSubject: Corolla -95 dailydriven   Thu Feb 26, 2015 7:42 pm

I got driver licence almost half year ago and year before that i was watching like E7 - E11 Corolla, N13 Sunny and a lot of other. My granddad left that invidual for me when he died last summer. 1995 Corolla, 147 000km, two owner
(my granddad 1998 -> 2014). Car was actually in very good condition and almost rust free (now fixed).
Now i have driven with corolla 12 000km. Car has has experienced some of changes and belts for motor, new oil and filter...

When i got that in my yard

With Alutec 7x15, ET30

With Si Corolla´s fog lights

Some day at autumn i was bored on car´s original radio and four spekears that crackling ´cause nobody were´nt used them Very Happy So i changed Pioneer CD/USB/Aux 4x50w player, in front Ground Zero 6,5" 3-way speakers and speakers in the parcel shelf are 5,25" same speakers. In trunk i have 12" SPL Pro subwoober. That´s fine for me.

In winter i bought clear blinkers side and front bumper and Hella´s grill for winter.

Also tried to fit 7.5x16 ET30 wheels, but those scratch because winter tires were too massive (205/55). And i think it looks anyway funny, that tires are so high.

Now, i got free hubcaps for my friends Opel Rekord and changed chrome bulbs to blinkers.

Now, the only plans i got at this stage are Foha top spoiler (got it with great original red color) and car waxing often enough. Maybe i buy also windbreakers for side glasses. And change Alutec wheels with summer tires.
This is daily driven car, this is my fresh trade, 1982 KE70 Corolla, with 90 000km and original condition. Rustfree Smile That going to be only summer car.

Finnish proud toyota-owner and enthusiast thanks Smile

The hatchback looks great, and the fact that you know it's history is priceless, but I just love love love the *E7* series, and that 2 door its proper drool material, congrats on that find

In Finland if car is over 30 years old and in original or restored condition ( like original ) you can register it to "museum-plates" so then driving insurance is like 40 euros / year. And you don´t need to pay taxes for car Smile
It needs new original front bumper and little bit fixing and then i register it for museum car.

Topic is for hatchback, but may i can probably share few pictures for e7?

And then e10..

It´s funny that there are so much Corolla E10 and Carina E cars. Over half of carina have hella´s grill, which is little bit different. That grill was first in Finland that someone sold for me. I saw one in the past but it was in so bad condition. So i watched half year that part, ´cause i I didn´t know how to order parts from eBay.

Cool, I would like a hella grill, but have never seen one for sale. The museum car set up sounds very good, we have a similar deal here in NZ for classic cars, but its more than 30 years, I think it might be 50 years.

The sight of a Finnish scenery with a Corolla is really common. My uncle had a four door E70 sedan there in the eighties. It was of a hangover morning crap greenish brown. I got an almost matching plastic model of it from him. Need to look it up.

Yup, Corolla is so popular vehicle in finland. But in Finland we have almost always "cheap-equipped" cars. So E10 corollas have 1.3 4e-fe, 1.4 ecotronic or 1.6 4a-fe engine ( Included Si Very Happy) and only Gli / Cxi model got front electric windows and electric side mirrors. Si model got sporty seats, white instrument panel with volt meter and all si models got airbag for steering wheel. And special parts for e10 are hard to find from finland expect ugly glass fiber bumpers and other "tuning" - parts like those. Last week i ordered corner lights with "side-lights" from eBay.

Still waiting for when the air heats up and i can wax car. Foha´s spoiler is waxed and ready for mounting.
Few weeks and corolla get summertires Wink One picture from last weekend at local Toyota dealer Hi!

Pair week ago i tested original grille with clear indicators. Maybe i put that on summer...

Coming from sauna trip and getting 160 000km jocolor

And there´s some of finnish plastic E70 models by Nyrhinen

They look like this..

I´m so angry now.. yesterday i mounted back subwoober with amplifier and "hat shelf" with Ground Zero 5,25" speakers. Today morning i wake up and somebody had hacked into corolla. Front side glass had been beaten broken, hat shelf with almost new speakers, subwoober with amplifier, almost new pioneer usb/cd/aux player, new towline and some of car´s original tools was stolen.. And the dashboard had couple of notches....

I don´t wanna mount aluminium wheels back with new tires after that.....

After few monts, car is fixed. I bought cheap JVC - player from my friend and also new "hat-shelf". Unbroken glass found from scrap yard. I also tried new park lights that i installed.

Then i put summer tires with the lock nuts. And clear indicators and "usa" - park lights.
I removed engine block heater plug and it´s much better Wink

KE70 is now on the road again afro

Not exactly yet. Most Corollas have gone to parts or scrap yard. KE70 reputation in Finland is usually young people car. But new spare parts are disappearing.  Today i washed ke70, need to replace undamaged frames for head lights and adjust clutch for normal. After event called "First of may cruising" need to change motor and gearbox oil, oil filter, spark plugs and windscreen wiper blades. And start to finishing for "museum-register".

Some throwback...

E10 needs new motor oil and filter soon. Next weekend i´m gonna mount that Foha´s rear lip on the trunk. Alarm is waiting for install. Razz

The KE70 sedan model is worldwide sold but for my ´82 coupe its really hard to find some parts. Most country did not sell this bodytype. Its also a late version just like yours.

If you´re looking for parts, let me know.. sometimes i see new old stock KE parts for sale here.

I´m not sure what to do. I have been watching ZZE11 sedan. This individual is in perfect condition, but i begin feel bored.. I almost bought cxi plush interior but sedan interior doesn´t fit for hatchback..
I have some ideas of slammed sedan and i don´t wanna rape my e10 fenders for wide wheels...

New instrumentation with tachometer and red bulbs (kilometers are right)

One option is keep that car and change si / cxi interior and some day put 4e-fte..

You got 178k km? I got 136k Laughing  But I tried to find some oem/jdm parts to my Corolla, because CXI doesn't mean "with all accessories". I mean, I want to find from somewhere cup holder, extra armrest and multibox, because they look very nice.
This image is from another topic in this forum and sorry about that silent
